What about us.
After reading the speach President Obama gave in Egypt, I am left wondering ; What about us? The American people? How can our government, in all good conscience, give 1.5 billion dollars a year to another country, when we are starving? How can we even attempt to be the “backbone” of another counrty when our own is crumbling? We need to strengthen our center before we reach out to others.
As a country, we rely on imports and exports/ trade and barter to sustain ourselves. But we can’t give what we haven’t got, and we can’t cripple ourselves helping another stand. I am not saying that we should desert the other countries, far from it. I’m suggesting that we step back and reasses our own resources and finances.
We are in no position to give billions of dollars to another when we can’t feed ourselves. Gas has gone up .55 cents in 31 days. Why? Greed? Is there a plausible explanation? We can’t afford to go to work because gas is high, we can’t afford daycare for our children. We can’t afford a decent meal to provide the nutrition our children need. I know several parents who only eat every other day, so that their kids get the nutrients they need. There is no excuse for this. They are not lazy bums, but hardworking people who are struggling to make ends meet. They don’t overspend or live above their means, but are frugal and conserving. And they still can’t do it. This is the state of a lot of our towns and cities. When an elderly man or woman has to decide between the medication that will keep them alive or food and shelter, there is a problem. When their social security doesn’t even pay one bill and they are left without water, there is a problem.
We need to take care of these problems. I have a difficult time believing that with all the brilliant minds in this world, someone can’t find a solution to this. Knowing it will take time to implement these changes, why aren’t we starting now, and if we are, why don’t we see or know about it? We are not stupid nor dumb, explain why things are like this. Explain why the mother down the street has to cry herself to sleep every night because she can’t afford to take her child to a specialist to save his life. Explain the plan, not vague discriptions that are meant to placate us, but the real in depth thing. We need to know. For our own peace of mind, so that we dont feel like we are toiling away or suffering for nothing.
As a whole, the American people need, too. We need food, lodging, clothing, and medicine. We need to feel secure. How can this country even offer security to another government when we have none ourselves?
We can still help others, but we can’t destroy ourselves in the process. We need. America.

Where is Obama getting this 1.5 billion dollars? Could this be the american tax money? The money America works and sweats for? Is this that 1.5 billion dollars?
DID OBAMA FORGET? Lets remind him.
What about Those kids that are starving and stealing just for a bite to eat? What about that elderly woman who lives two doors down that barely survives? She eats cat food because she can’t afford to pay her morgage and to eat. What about that family that struggles just to feed their children, and they still go to bed hungry each night? What about the people who have to quit their jobs, their means of survival, simply because gas prices keep rising and they can’t afford it? What about these people Obama?
America is dying already. Obama is just sending us to the grave quicker. The worst part is that America is letting him do this. He is killing us to let another live. But could he do this to his own children? Obama. . . .would you sentence one of your children to a slow stravation like you are sentencing us? For the first time in my short life I am ashamed of this government.
The government should be afraid of us. They represent us. We have the power to make a change and yet we let some spoiled rich kids playing grown up lead us. TAKE A STAND AMERICA. We have needs too. We have starving and homeless too. Shouldn’t we help those first?
Oh. . . . Obama, it was Moses and Elijah who were speaking with Jesus. Read your bible! You might learn something. Start with Luke chapter 9, where this story is. Who knows though, you might just be the antichrist, and then nothing that anyone could say would stop you from killin us all.
