12Sep CERN Large Hadron Collider Explained
Image by Getty Images via Daylife A video giving a tour of the LHC (underground accelerator) at CERN. Measuring 27km in circumference, it will become the world’s largest particle accelerator. The first beams are due for injection mid-June 2008 with the first collisions planned to take place 2 months later. The LHC will become the world’s largest and highest-energy particle accelerator.
