    The Truth 1:17 am on March 12, 2010 | 0 Permalink | Reply
    Tags: , Google, , , ,

    Not too many people know the advantages of using Google alerts to increase website traffic. I have been using it for a few months now, and I totally love it. It helps me find relevant blogs, websites, or even Groups for keywords that I set up in my alerts, and Google sends me these results directly to my email every day.

    For those who don’t know what Google Alerts is, and how you can use them to increase website traffic to your websites or blogs, let me explain to you quickly what it is, and what it can do for you and your SEO.

    Google Alerts is a notification / Alert system that Google has set up so you can receive email alerts from Google when ever Google finds specific website pages that you define in your Alert. What these alerts contain are specific keyword terms that you want to keep up on events for.

    For example, with the Winter Olympics taking place starting Feb. 11 2010, you can set up an Alert for the keyword term ”Winter Olympics” in Quotes, and whenever Google finds that exact keyword term on websites that it crawls, you will receive an email alert about it. Pretty easy to understand, and a very powerful SEO tool that you could use to increase your website traffic and search engine ranking by building super targeted back links.

    There are 6 different types of alerts that you can set up:

    Each type of Alert is pretty self explanatory but, you can read the Google Alerts Help page for more information about using the Google Alert system.

    Now, to increase your website traffic and build targeted back links to help you rank better in the search engines, setup a Google Alert for your main keywords that you want to rank for, and use the types Blogs and Groups. When Google finds your keywords on these types of websites, you will receive an email with a link to the page your keyword was found on.

    The reason you want these two is simple. You can post comments on Blog and Groups. See where I am going with this, and do you understand how to increase website traffic using this powerful Google Alerts Feature?

    We all know that in order to rank better and to increase website traffic from the search engines, we need relevant back links, and this is the best way to find them with little to no work.

    I think that the Google Alerts is one of the best ways to increase website traffic and build yourself some powerful back links pointing back to your website.

    Go setup your Google alert, start building your back links today.

  • #1 Reason Why you Just Lost a Sale From Google Adwords

    The Truth 7:15 am on March 9, 2010 | 1 Permalink | Reply
    Tags: , , Google, , , ,

    Take a deep breath. You just lost a potential customer a few seconds ago. I’m not joking. They just left your site or affiliate link without buying anything from you. Why?

    Because when someone clicks on your Google PPC ad, you’ve only won half the battle. Unless you get them to take action right then and there, it’s almost dead-certain you’ll never get them back to your site again. In the same position, ready to buy. Doesn’t that make sense?

    Now I’m about to reveal to you how you can start to prevent that from happening today. And that’s only the first reason why you need a sense of urgency. There are tons more.

    But here’s the shocker, and if there’s only one thing you remember from this article, please remember this: Once your potential customer leaves your site, you’ll probably never hear from them again. Ever.

    I’m serious. Many businesses and webmasters build Google landing pages that can simply never get their prospects to act. Because their text ambles along… as if time didn’t matter.

    But research shows that to succeed, urgency must be a factor in your sales process. If not, you’re hurting through lost sales and wasted Google AdWords fees.

    Hey, time so often works against us in our businesses; delivery deadlines, paycheck deadlines, even lack of time to spend with your family. These are areas where time works against us. Isn’t it only fair that you should use time pressure to your advantage when you can… at least in your sales activities?

    Don’t worry: If you download a new 33-page report I’m offering you for free, I’m going to show you, step-by-step how to get over this barrier to your success. Once we’re done, you can even be asleep in your bed while your website is using these urgency triggers I’m going to tell you about. And boost your AdWords click-to-sales conversion process.

    I’m not joking.

    How do you actually create that sense of urgency? Here are a few examples, putting urgency to work;

    In a niche market you might say: “I happen to know ‘XYZ’ company has just installed the same piece of equipment last month and they’re getting killer results. Do they compete with you? Don’t you owe it to yourself to make that decision now?”

    And then there are killer software tools out there to enhance your sales process by using countdown timers, “xx” quantity remaining at this price automatic counters, and tons more.

    Let’s see what else we can do. Here’s the kind of info available for download;

  • My Name on Google? Who Me?

    The Truth 6:41 am on March 9, 2010 | 0 Permalink | Reply
    Tags: Google,

    Have you ever “Googled” yourself? I did and I was dumb-founded! You know that little Google box at the top of your screen? If it’s not there, go to Google and download their toolbar. Once it’s installed, type your name in there and see what comes up. If you don’t want to install the toolbar, just go to google.com and use their search box and type your name in there. I typed in my name and 10 pages came up and put me into shock! This totally proved to me that writing articles and submitting them does get you noticed. You will be surprised at how much it will do for your ranking.

    Don’t like to write articles? Neither did I, but after I saw how much it helped my website hits, I lost my shyness. Once I get started, I find it gets easier to write an article. The getting started part can be difficult and intimidating, but just go with your feelings and start typing them out. It may not be the greatest article in the world, but it’s YOUR article….good or bad. The more articles you write, the easier it gets. If you’ve got a website, tell people about it; if you’ve got a product idea, let people know about it. If you’ve got something you are trying to sell, explain the benefits of it. If the Internet confuses you and leaves you feeling lost in a multitude of websites, tell people about it. There’s millions of things to write about and millions of people wanting to read it. Go for it! Don’t let the Internet intimidate you.

    I’m not an “Internet Guru”, by any means, it takes a lot of time and money to get that ranking, but I’ve learned a lot from them. And the majority of the gurus agree: writing articles gets you noticed, and for that, I can definitely vouch for. They may not be right on everything they say, but they sure know their stuff on the article writing thing.

    I’ve got a few websites going and when I checked my hits, I discovered that a lot of them have actually come from article sites I’ve submitted to, and that makes the torture of writing worth it. If you absolutely cannot write, search on the Internet for someone who will write an article for you. It will cost you some money, but you can put your name as the author and submit it to all the article sites. There are plenty of internet geeks out there that do nothing but write articles for other people. A lot of people make their living by selling bundles of articles that you can purchase the rights to and use your own name as the author.

    Then you can “Google” your name and watch the links come up! Too cool! Makes you feel like you’re not totally lost out there. I love typing my name on the Google search bar and watching all the links come up. It’s sort of like Steve Martin in The Jerk with the phonebook….I’m Somebody!
